OUR APPROACH TO SERVICE PROJECTS
Service projects provide an opportunity for our ministry partners to GO as well as give. Our service teams come alongside members of the community to learn, fellowship and encourage one another. It's not just about the work that we do, but the relationships that we build.
The greatest risk of bringing American teams into Haiti is that we can undermine the participatory development work in the community and create more dependence on outside help. We must separate what we do and how we do it from our desire to feel good about ourselves.
Examples of pojects we sponsor include construction, playground installation, painting, repair and sewing classes. Projects may utilize any number of team members and involve a wide range of skill types and experience levels.
We encourange individuals and groups to participate in service projects.
